The most difficult step towards healing and better mental health, is the first step and you have made it this far! My role as your therapist is to guide you to be the best version of yourself and help you achieve your goals. The approaches we use will be individually tailored to best fit your needs. The therapeutic process can be difficult and demanding, however I want to make this process eye-opening and comfortable. My goals is to create a positive therapeutic alliance that will create a welcoming environment to help you address your concerns.
Vanshika Sharma is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo and completed her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. Vanshika brings a profound understanding of the intricacies of cultural identity and systemic inequalities to her practice. She is experienced and focused on providing support for individuals (13+) struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional disturbances and stress. She is also trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Somatic Therapy.
Her empathetic approach and keen awareness of the struggles encountered by marginalized groups enable her to provide insightful and supportive therapy, fostering healing and empowerment among her diverse clientele.
