Do you know what you are looking for? Are you feeling stuck and unsatisfied? I understand making the decision to reach out for help can be a big stumbling block and a good example of how we can often get in our own way to happiness. If you are ready to start the discussion, I would love to meet you and see how I can help and support you. Making the first call is hard, staying stuck is hard: choose your hard.
Chris is a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience working with youth, adults, seniors, families and couples. For over 30 years, he has been working with young people and families who have come in conflict with the law, including a wide range of issues from negative peer groups, substance use and issues with motivation and focus.
Chris is highly trained in working with diverse communities including the 2SLGBTQ+ and racialized individuals and groups. He works from an anti-oppressive and inclusive lens perspective and enjoys helping people live their best lives.
Chris is currently the Chair of York University’s school of Social Work Alumni committee and has taught at Centennial College for over 20 years in the Social Service Work and Community Justice Studies programs. He has had much success helping men and couples understand the elements of healthy relationships. Chris works alongside couples while they navigate difficult issues such as healthy communication, conflict resolution and respecting boundaries in relationships. He has also supported couples work through issues of divorce, and separation and helped set them up for successful co-parenting.
Self-Care and Community Care are also special areas of interest for Chris: Life balance can be an elusive concept and I feel getting some help and support to reset and move forward is an essential piece of a healthy lifestyle. Chris looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals.
“Relationships are at the centre of all rewarding things in life. Therapy can help refocus and re-set our priorities to help us feel better, more hopeful and achieve our true potential.
