Denise Taher
She /Her Registered Psychotherapist, MSc. MA
Life can feel overwhelming, but it does not have to defeat you. I notice that life is kind of like the ocean – it ebbs and flows. When it feels like the waves are crashing down, it is difficult to make it to the surface alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and find ways to help navigate through them. I utilize a holistic and integrative approach that explores the root of the problem, whilst providing you helpful coping tools. I believe in working collaboratively to identify your goals and create a personalized roadmap for your healing.
Denise is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Art in Counselling Psychology. She has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, borderline personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and addictions. She has worked with adults, adolescents, and couples in a variety of settings, including inpatient, non-profit, and private sectors. Denise has also volunteered at Distress Centre Niagara, providing support and crisis intervention for clients in distress. Her ideal client is someone who wants more for their life but feels stuck and needs some guidance and support along the way.
Denise has a passion for learning, which is why she is always seeking out trainings and certifications in evidenced-based treatment approaches that may help clients achieve their goals more efficiently and effectively.
“I understand that exploring your deepest concerns can be challenging, which is why I adopt a laid-back approach to therapy that makes it easy for you to feel comfortable, safe, and supported. You are not alone, and seeking help is a courageous step towards a brighter future.”.
