Brenna Tessier
She /Her Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MACP
Considering starting therapy can be exciting, nerve-wracking, and confusing all at once. Together, we can explore what has led you to seek support and what you hope to achieve in our time together. I am an integrative therapist who provides support to individuals who struggle with concerns related to ADHD, stress, anxiety, and self-esteem. I draw from various approaches tailored to your needs.
Brenna is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over five years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in the mental health field. She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology and is working towards completing her ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) Certification.
Brenna primarily works from a client-centered approach, meaning she aims to meet clients where they are at. She will help you to uncover what is holding you back in life or identify what areas of your life you may need a little extra supporting. Brenna also incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), to provide you with some hands-on skills that can be incorporated into your everyday life. Additionally, she has an interest in exploring self-compassion and attachment within sessions. Using this eclectic approach, Brenna seeks to meet your unique needs, while prioritizing building a safe, positive and trusting therapeutic relationship.
“My lived experience with ADHD has helped me to connect deeper with others with ADHD or ADHD symptoms. I am passionate about understanding how this diagnosis may be impacting someones mental health and day-to-day life and approach all sessions from a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed lens.”
